Licia’s commitment to the nonprofit sector is rooted in her experience as a parent of two children born profoundly deaf. After seeing firsthand how specialized listening and spoken language services and cochlear implants allowed her children to thrive, she dedicated her career to Children’s Choice for Hearing and Talking (CCHAT), where she’s served as Director of Development for the past 17 years. Her work focuses on educating the community and securing the philanthropic support necessary to sustain the transformational services provided by the CCHAT Center. Licia is excited to bring her experience in fundraising and donor stewardship to the Planned Giving Forum of Greater Sacramento board. She looks forward to collaborating with fellow professionals to explore how intentional, legacy-focused giving can build sustainable futures for all Sacramento-area nonprofits.
