Alex Simmons is the Senior Manager of Development at Yolo Food Bank in Woodland, California. She joined the organization in 2024 as Grants Manager and has since expanded her role to include events, donor engagement, and planned giving.

Alex is deeply committed to advancing a more equitable food system and holds a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems from the University of California, Davis. She views fundraising as a meaningful way to support causes she cares about, particularly food security, a fundamental need shared by all.

A lifelong resident of the Sacramento region, Alex developed a strong connection to Yolo County during her time in Davis and remains dedicated to serving her local community.
