The Planned Giving Forum of Greater Sacramento (PGFGS) announced that Peter Leon-Guerrero, MPA, CAP®, CFRE, has assumed the role of President, effective January 2026. His two year term follows a planned leadership succession.
Leon-Guerrero has served PGFGS in multiple leadership capacities and most recently held the role of Vice President. He succeeds Chelsea Fahr and will continue PGFGS’s work of supporting professionals engaged in charitable gift planning throughout the region.
PGFGS serves as a professional community for individuals working in planned giving and related fields. Through education, shared learning, and professional connection, the organization supports philanthropy that benefits donors, charitable organizations, and the broader community.
Leon-Guerrero brings more than 15 years of experience in higher education and nonprofit healthcare philanthropy. He currently serves as Senior Director of Planned Giving at UC Davis. His work focuses on helping individuals and families structure charitable gifts that align with personal values and long term goals, often in collaboration with legal and financial advisors.
Leon-Guerrero served as President of the Rotary Club of Davis during the 2022–23 year. He holds the Certified Fund Raising Executive and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy credentials and was recognized with the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners Rising Star Award in 2020.
